Stephen A. Wheeler, 47, joined GCP as a Managing Director, Asset Management in April 2006. In his previous position, Mr. Wheeler was President of Real Asset Capital, LLC, a development and investment conduit for institutional and private equity seeking to invest in multifamily, commercial and mixed-use real estate assets. Prior to his position at Real Asset Capital, LLC, Mr. Wheeler was President of Corporation for Community Housing, a non-profit multifamily housing developer.

Mr. Wheeler's real estate industry experience spans over 20 years. This experience includes development and operation of various property types including multifamily, neighborhood and community shopping center, mixed-use, parking, and urban in-fill real estate. Mr. Wheeler has also been actively involved in transit oriented development, main street and urban re-development projects as both a planning consultant and developer. Mr. Wheeler holds a BS from the University of Minnesota. Mr. Wheeler is a member of the Manufactured Housing Institute.
