Randall K. Rowe
Chairman
Randall
K. Rowe, 55, is Chairman of GCP. Previously Mr. Rowe was a
Co-Founder and Chairman of Transwestern Investment Company,
LLC (1996-2002) and Chairman and Director of Transwestern
Commercial Services, LLC (1997-2002). Mr. Rowe was also
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hometown America,
LLC (1997-2002), a large owner of manufactured housing
communities that owned 14,000 home sites.
Prior to co-founding
Transwestern Investment Company, Mr. Rowe was a senior
executive with Equity Group Investments, Inc. and held
several positions including: Managing Director and Chief
Executive Officer of Equity Venture Partners, Inc., a
merchant banking entity (1995-1996); Vice Chairman of Equity
Capital Holdings, LLC, a parking asset investment vehicle
(1995-1996); Co-Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of
Manufactured Home Communities, Inc. (currently known as
Equity LifeStyle Properties Inc.; NYSE: ELS), a REIT that
owned 26,000 home sites (1989-1995); President, Chief
Executive Officer of Equity Assets Management, Inc. with
oversight for the acquisition and asset management functions
for the Zell/Merrill Lynch Real Estate Opportunity Funds
(1989-1995); and Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of Equity
Office Properties, Inc., a fully-integrated owner/operator
of 30 million square feet of office buildings (1989-1995).
Prior to his association
with the Equity Group, Mr. Rowe was a Vice President with
Goldman, Sachs & Co. with the responsibility of directing
the firm’s Midwest real estate investment banking services
from 1986 to 1989. Mr. Rowe began his career in 1982 as an
attorney with Hopkins & Sutter. Mr. Rowe is a Trustee of the
Urban Land Institute. He is also a member and former
Chairman of the Real Estate Roundtable, a member of the
International Council of Shopping Centers and a member of
the Manufactured Housing Institute.
Mr. Rowe holds a BA from
Denison University, an MBA from Harvard University and a JD
from the University of Michigan. Mr. Rowe has served on the
boards of a number of public companies including: Catellus
(NYSE: CDX 1991-1994); Manufactured Home Communities, Inc.
(1993-1996); and Storage Trust (NYSE: SEA 1994-1999). Mr.
Rowe is a member of the State Bar of Illinois.
