James R. Goldman ("Jim")

James
R. Goldman, 47, joined GCP as Managing Director, Chief
Investment Officer in June 2003. From January 2002 through
June 2003, Mr. Goldman was a Managing Director with J.R.
Goldman & Co., a real estate consulting and advisory company
based in Lake Forest, Illinois. From March 2000 through
December 2001, Mr. Goldman was a Managing Director of
Mercury Partners LLC, a boutique real estate investment
bank. From January 1998 through February 2000, Mr. Goldman
was a Senior Vice President in the Real Estate Investment
Banking Group of PaineWebber Incorporated. Prior to
PaineWebber, Mr. Goldman had been an Associate and Vice
President with Alex. Brown & Sons Incorporated.
Mr. Goldman has participated as a
senior investment banker in all aspects of public offerings
for public REITs, including offerings of common stock,
perpetual and convertible preferred stock, and unsecured
debt. In addition, Mr. Goldman has served as the principal
advisor on a wide variety of REIT mergers and acquisitions
and other advisory assignments. Mr. Goldman’s experience
includes working with clients in the following property
types: industrial, manufactured housing community,
multifamily, neighborhood and community shopping center,
office, parking, regional mall, self-storage and senior
housing.
Prior to commencing his career as an
investment banker in 1993, Mr. Goldman had worked as a
corporate & securities/business tax attorney with the firm
currently known as DLA Piper and as an accountant with the
firm currently known as Ernst & Young LLP. Mr. Goldman is a
licensed attorney in the State of Maryland and a Certified
Public Accountant. Mr. Goldman holds a BS/BA from Old
Dominion University and a JD from the College of William and
Mary. Mr. Goldman is a member of the National Parking
Association and the Florida Manufactured Housing
Association.
