Stephen F. Douglass ("Steve")

Stephen
F. Douglass, 51, joined GCP as a Managing Director, Asset
Management in December 2006. From June 1998 through November
2006, Mr. Douglass held various positions at Transwestern
Investment Company, most recently as a Managing Director and
co-head of its Ownership Representation Group. At
Transwestern, Mr. Douglass oversaw asset management and
development management for over 100 properties owned by the
firm’s various investment vehicles.
In addition, Mr. Douglass
performed principal development of office, industrial and
retail projects totaling over five million square feet,
directing all phases of the development process including
land acquisition, project financing, construction, lease-up,
and disposition. Prior to joining Transwestern in 1998, Mr.
Douglass was a Principal with LaSalle Investment Management,
Inc. with responsibility for portfolio management of various
commingled private equity funds valued in excess of $300
million. As Director of Due Diligence for LaSalle, he
oversaw the underwriting of properties valued in excess of
$10 billion.
Prior to joining LaSalle in
1988, Mr. Douglass was an architect with Jung/Brannen
Associates, Inc., directing the design and construction of
various high-rise commercial office and hotel projects and
the World Trade Center, Boston. Mr. Douglass earned a BA
from Williams College, a Master in Architecture from the
Harvard University Graduate School of Design, and an MBA
from Harvard Business School. He is a member of the
International Council of Shopping Centers and the Urban Land
Institute, where he serves on the Commercial & Retail
Development Council (Green Flight). Mr. Douglass is
currently serving his third term on the City of Lake
Forest’s Historic Preservation Commission.
