Green Courte acquired its first land-lease/manufactured housing community in August 2004. In March 2009, Green Courte acquired American Land Lease, Inc., a public real estate investment trust (REIT) which owned and operated a portfolio of high-quality, land-lease/manufactured housing communities located primarily in Florida and Arizona. Shortly after closing the acquisition of American Land Lease, Green Courte began to integrate its own substantial operating capabilities with those of American Land Lease. The combined management teams have received recognition from the Manufactured Housing Institute, winning its coveted Manufactured Housing Community Operator of the Year Award in 2007, 2008 and 2009. American Land Lease is led by David Lentz, its Chief Executive Officer.
Green Courte’s portfolio of land-lease/manufactured housing communities is currently the nation’s sixth largest, with more than 18,900 home sites across 53 communities in eleven states. For more than 25 years, American Land Lease has combined high-quality manufactured homes with desirable locations, superior on-site management and expanded recreational amenities to deliver a premium value and enhanced lifestyle to its customers.
