Jane E. Mody
Jane is responsible for special operations and infrastructure projects for Green Courte’s operating businesses and investments. She was Green Courte’s Chief Financial Officer from 2011 until 2015, with oversight of the accounting, capital markets and IT functions for Green Courte and its funds and portfolio companies. Jane has been with Green Courte since 2011.
Prior to joining Green Courte, Jane was a co-founder, Managing Director and the Chief Financial Officer of Silverstone Capital Group, LLC, a private equity real estate investment company focused on single-tenant retail net-lease properties.
Previously, Jane was a Managing Director of Crescent Real Estate Equities (NYSE: CEI) where she headed the firm's capital markets efforts from February 2001 until January 2007, when she also assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer until the company's sale in August 2007. At Crescent, Jane was responsible for all public and private debt and equity placements for the $6.5 billion REIT. In addition, she managed Crescent's strategic planning, treasury and cash management, investor and public relations as well as the firm's accounting, risk management and IT functions. CEI was sold to Morgan Stanley in August 2007.
From 2000 to 2001, Jane was Vice President of Goldman, Sachs & Co. where she managed reporting for the Whitehall Real Estate Opportunity Funds and oversaw the asset management of the funds' South American investments.
Jane co-founded and served as Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer of Pacific Retail Trust, a $1.5 billion private grocery-anchored shopping center company, from 1993 to 1999. Over the course of five years the company acquired or developed over 90 shopping centers primarily in the western United States, raising approximately $750 million in private equity from major institutional public and private investors. The company was sold to Regency Centers (NYSE: REG) in 1999.
Earlier in her career, Jane served as Executive Vice President of Capital Markets for Rosewood Property Company. She began her career in banking at Interfirst Bank Dallas.
Jane holds a Bachelor of Arts from Austin College and a Master of Business Administration in International Business from the University of Dallas.
