We are excited to expand our team to include a new Communications Director position! The Communications Director will be a creative, highly visible, multi-faceted and cross-functional role that will work closely with Green Courte’s senior leadership team to develop professional and highly-impactful communication materials for internal and external stakeholders of the firm, including partners, customers, investors and the media. The successful candidate will bring an exceptional ability to develop and refine message based on minimal input and the proven ability to develop a keen understanding of complex financial and operational issues and communicate them clearly and consistently. Experience with media relations is a plus.
Serving as an essential contributor in cross-functional teams that work to shape the firm’s overall communications strategy and message across varied formats and media channels.
Partnering with senior leadership to create and deliver transparent information and clear messages regarding the direction of the company and key investments and initiatives.
Assisting with content creation and proofreading of materials, including investor communications, press releases, internal and external memos, marketing materials, investment summaries and white papers.
Engaging in digital communication efforts, including updating website content to reflect the broad range of perspectives and capabilities of the firm.
Organizing communications campaigns to maximize the number of high value media impressions and recognition of noteworthy milestones and activities.
Collaborating with internal subject matter experts to understand, integrate, translate and distill distinctive points of view into communication pieces.
Assessing risks, issues and potential communications problems that are brought forward along with proactive solutions.
Providing ongoing education and feedback to colleagues on stylistic devices and proofreading points to raise the overall effectiveness of communications between the firm and its stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a strong undergraduate program in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English or Journalism required; graduate degree a plus
5-10+ years of experience working within PR, Communications, Journalism and/or Marketing
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Deep knowledge and understanding of grammar, punctuation, and standard/nonstandard usage
Relentless editing and proofreading skills and unwavering diligence and attention to detail
Ability to provide multiple examples of clear and effective writing
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines
