Martin H. Nesbitt
Managing Director
Martin H. Nesbitt joined GCP as a Managing Director in December of 2011. Mr. Nesbitt also serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Parking Spot, a national owner/operator of near-airport parking facilities. Mr. Nesbitt conceptualized and co-founded The Parking Spot and is responsible for running all strategic and operating aspects of the company. Prior to launching The Parking Spot, Mr. Nesbitt was an officer of the Pritzker Realty Group, L.P., the real estate group for Pritzker family interests.
Prior to joining Pritzker, Mr. Nesbitt was an Equity Vice President and Investment Manager at the firm currently known as Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated, with a variety of responsibilities including investment management at regional retail properties and management and leasing of office projects and parking properties.
Previously, Mr. Nesbitt was employed by General Motors Corporation in the area of borrowing and financial planning. Mr. Nesbitt was named a GM Fellow and the company sponsored his graduate education.
Mr. Nesbitt earned a BS and honorary doctorate from Albion College, Albion, Michigan and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Mr. Nesbitt currently serves on the Board of Directors of Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated and is a Trustee of Chicago's Museum of Contemporary Art. He is a former member of The University of Chicago Laboratory School Board, former Chairman of the Board of the Chicago Housing Authority and a former board member of the Chicago 2016 Olympic Committee. Mr. Nesbitt is the current national treasurer of President Barack Obama's 2012 presidential campaign and served in the same capacity during President Obama's 2008 campaign.
